Based in the Scottish Borders, I have spent over eighteen years working in the private rented sector in Scotland, primarily across Edinburgh, The Borders and East Lothian. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience from letting flats (both to professionals and HMO tenants) and townhouses, as well as large rural houses and country cottages, either individually owned or Estate owned.

I recently applied to rent a cottage, having had a bad experience with a big agent, it was refreshing to work with Camilla during my application.  She was clear in her communication and kept me up to date every step of the way.  From my viewing to start date of my tenancy a staggering 5 days turn around!   Thank you Camilla.

My cottages needed a tenancy inspection and my files, since the change of legislation, needed a review.  Camilla spent time checking each file to ensure that my paperwork was in order. On her findings she then put together a programme of works following the property inspections to ensure that I was all up to date.  It is great to know that my Landlord compliance and tenancies are running smoothly with Camilla on hand if I have a query.



Using a bespoke service, which I created with Camilla. We meet annually to plan the year ahead to ensure that my cottages have annual inspections, to keep on top of maintenance and comply with current legislation.  We also look at each tenancy on a case by case to discuss any arising matters and rent reviews. Camilla has always been thorough with her recommendations, knowledgeable and efficient.  On the occasion a cottage falls empty the void period is minimal, to move a tenant in within 7 days from a viewing is a swift let!  



Running a busy and versatile Estate, finding the time and man power to carry out mid tenancy inspections on our cottages in Selkirkshire, we always needed that “extra” pair of hands. By employing Camilla to carry these out on our behalf it is now integral to the running of the Estate to ensure that the properties meet the current regulation, properties maintained/looked after and our tenants are happy.  Her reports are thorough and allowed us to put in a programme of works for maintenance and address any tenancy matters.  In addition, we have used her services to source and successfully secure several new tenants.
